GDPR Briefing

GDPR Briefing by the BPC

You may have heard about the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)  which aims to harmonise data protection rules across all EU member states. The GDPR replaces the data protection legislation in the UK and will therefore have an impact on almost everyone.

The BPC have put together a briefing note on the changes that the new legislation will bring and hope that our Registrants will find it useful when planning their individual compliance. The new legislation will be enforced on 25 May 2018.

To view our guidance document, please open the attachment.

We will provide updates as and when they are published by the Information Commissioners Office. You can also visit their website for further detailed information and updates:

Please note we are unable to provide individual tailored advice to Registrants as the GDPR legislation is complex and you may wish to seek professional advice from a legal expert on data protection. They will be able to clarify the finer points of GDPR requirements and what it means for you. The briefing note provided by the BPC is an overview of the changes and should be considered as a guidance document only.
