Ignacy (Iggy) Ziajka

Dr Ignacy (Iggy) Ziajka has been a UK-registered psychiatrist since 2008. As such, he is a fully-qualified physician, with a medical degree from the Medical University of Silesia (1999), followed by a 5-year specialist psychiatric training at the University of Silesia Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. He is a Specialist Associate of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Dr Ziajka worked as a psychiatrist for the leading private care provider the Priory Hospital Roehampton and the Priory Hospital North London . Since 2008 he has worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist for the Isle of Man Mental Health Services, and in private practice.

In addition to his extensive training as a specialist psychiatrist, Dr Ziajka has also trained as a psychotherapist, with a Postgraduate Diploma in Family Therapy from Tavistock, London. Amongst other approaches he is an accredited practitioner in Mentalization Based Therapy MBT (Anna Freud Centre, London). Dr Ziajka trained in Eye Movement and Desensitisation Therapy (EMDR), and Interpersonal Therapy (Anna Freud Centre London).

Dr Ziajka has a specialist interest in the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and in medico-legal aspects of psychiatry. He has Bond Solon Expert Witness Certification and a Postgraduate Diploma in Forensic Psychiatry from King’s College, London. Dr Ziajka is the contributing editor to the latest edition of ‘Rix’s Expert Psychiatric Evidence’, Cambridge University Press,2021.
