Hello and Welcome

I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS). I am also a qualified Dynamic Interpersonal Therapist. I currently work in the National Health Service (NHS) as a Psychologist providing individual psychotherapy treatment and I have a private psychotherapy practice.

Some of the presenting difficulties I work with include; anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem and childhood trauma. I have worked in various settings including voluntary charities and the NHS, enabling me to encounter and work with individuals of diverse age, gender, religion, ethnicity and socio-economic backgrounds.

In my work, establishing a nurturing and trusting relationship with clients is important, because I believe that it is fundamental for therapy to be effective. My therapeutic work is aimed at providing a safe and trusting therapeutic space in which the person feels able to explore and process deep hidden emotions. The aim of therapy is to arrive at a deeper understanding of oneself and relational dynamics and to facilitate subsequent change.
