Infant Observation Seminar Leader

Location: Online (Bristol)
Start date: September 23, 2024
Deadline for applications: July 12, 2024
Salary: £64 per seminar.

The Severnside Institute for Psychotherapy is is recruiting a new seminar leader for the Infant Observation group from September 2024 onwards. This involves a weekly commitment of 90-minute seminars for 4-6 people over the 30-week academic year, on either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evening (there is currently flexibility as to day and time).

The group will be online via Zoom and includes students who are preparing for clinical training and those who are following the programme for general interest or CPD.

An Infant Observation training helps trainees to develop their observational and analytic stance and the seminar leader has a varied and interesting role in encouraging students to think psychoanalytically about their observations in the family environment, as well as supporting their preparations for the observations. In turn, there will be support for the successful applicant from colleagues as they grow into the role.

The role is paid at £64 per seminar. Half-yearly and annual report writing and some preparatory activities may be claimed in addition.

For an informal discussion, or to apply with letter and CV, please contact Mike Keating, Head of Training & Education on the email below.
