Introducing: a new BPC membership category for Trainees

We've launched an affordable new Trainee membership that supports those in early stages of the psychoanalytic profession with resources whilst encouraging them to engage with our regulatory Standards.

At the BPC, we’re excited to expand our professional community by welcoming trainees with a membership that includes benefits like access to events, training resources, bespoke communications and a subscription to the BPC’s flagship magazine New Associations for the annual cost of £10.

It’s important to the BPC to be better connected with our trainees, not only because they are currently on a BPC accredited training but because they are the future of the profession. This membership is an opportunity from the BPC to hear from trainees directly, as well as to provide helpful information and resources that we hope will benefit trainees during their training and throughout their career.

Greg Ross-Sampson, CEO of the BPC says:

“Safe therapy starts with trainees. Through this membership we want to support trainees by instilling regulatory values as early as possible. We’re passionate about fostering a wide-ranging professional community that puts psychoanalytic work at its core and we’re excited to welcome psychoanalysts in training so that we can foster that community from the ground up.”

The intention with this membership is that this line of communication goes both ways. We want to know what we can do, as a regulator, to help support trainees through their professional journey. This is why we’re putting together a Trainee Committee which will meet regularly, to work with the BPC to develop the membership offering and events further. If you’re a trainee member and interested in joining us, please contact us.
