Join us for this 4-day training at the Anna Freud Centre and discover how to apply the Story Stem Assessment Profile (SSAP) to gain insight into young children’s perceptions of family roles, attachments, and relationships. SSAP is an assessment tool that has proven effective with children aged 4-9 in both clinical and research settings.
As part of the tool, children are presented with the beginning of a story featuring everyday scenarios with an inherent dilemma, then asked to ‘show and tell what happens next’. The tool reveals key features of children’s mental representations of attachment and relationships using a non-intrusive approach that is typically enjoyable for the child.
