Susie draws on her clinical experience and body countertransference to share new theory. She asks how bodies are made and looks at the apprehension of a corporeal sense of self.
Psyche has dominated psychoanalytic discourse since the 1950s despite a profusion of body-based problems since the 1970s on. She will discuss how we might think about, and work with, the body in clinical practice.
