Description
This course introduces the participants to the skills required in counselling and to the theory that underpins the psychodynamic way of working. It is for anyone who feels they would benefit; for personal development, in their current work, or for those who wish to find out more before embarking on professional training.
This course is delivered by an experienced tutor online in a virtual classroom where you will benefit from interactive sessions with your tutor and your fellow students.

Course Overview:
This course is for people who want to improve their understanding of counselling skills.
It is a 20 hour course delivered in 2 hour sessions over 10 weeks.
The course is open to all adults aged 18 and over who have little or no prior knowledge or experience of counselling and want a taste of counselling concepts and methods.
This course covers a range of topics will introduce you to the skills required in counselling and the theory that underpins the psychodynamic way of working.
Who is the course for?
The course is aimed at anyone who may be considering either a career in counselling, or wanting to develop valuable helping and listening skills, as well as anyone interested in developing self-awareness.
This course does not provide students with a professional qualification to practice as a counsellor.
Course Dates:
This is a 10 week online course taking place on Thursdays from 18:30 – 20:30 BST.
Thursdays 6.30pm – 8.30pm, 12th January 2023, 19th January 2023, 26th January 2023, 2nd February 2023, 9th February 2023, one week break at half term, 23rd February 2023, 2nd March 2023, 9th March 2023, 16th March 2023, 23rd March 2023
