BPC Safeguarding TrainingBook tickets
The British Psychoanalytic Council
The BPC are putting on a day of online training considering safeguarding in psychoanalytic practice, with trainer Dr Liz McMonagle. The training will look at recognising and responding to safeguarding in various contexts. Some time will be allowed for group exercises.
This training is for BPC Registrants only. There are limited tickets, but we will be organising more training if there is a high demand. We are asking attendees to complete a short survey so we can tailor the training appropriately (the link will be available once you have completed booking), and to bring a couple of (anonymised) examples of safeguarding issues they have experienced in practice.
Dr Liz McMonagle is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. She is a consultant lead clinical psychologist and a psychoanalyst with NIPAs, BPC and IOPA. She is a member of the BPC Ethics Committee, the BPS Safeguarding group and consults on serious adverse incidents in the NHS. She is clinical supervisor with the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology training at The Queen’s University of Belfast. She is safeguarding trainer with the NHS and Northern Ireland Psychoanalytic Society. Liz has a special interest in the psychology of safeguarding. She also is passionate about Autism and is an ASD Diagnostician.
