BPA Modified Training Course
Organised by:
British Psychoanalytic Association
Description
The BPA offers a Modified Training (MT) to enable experienced Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists to further train to become Psychoanalysts. This course is for those who are motivated in developing the skills needed to work with 4 or 5 times a week patients in psychoanalysis. This challenging and demanding training would suit experienced Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists who have already shown commitment to in-depth intensive work. Upon completion, it allows an applicant to become a Psychoanalyst; member of the BPA and a member of the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA).
The Modified Training consists of clinical work, supervision of the therapy with two intensive training patients, and attendance of both clinical and theoretical seminars for a minimum of 2 years.
A pre-application meeting is offered to explore whether the MT is appropriate for the applicant.
The deadline for applications in 2023 is the 16th of April, for a September start.
