Description

The Tavistock Clinic and the Cassel Hospital recently had their centenaries, in 2020 and 2021. Both have had deep connections with the Institute of Psychoanalysis, now over 100 years old. And as NHS institutions, both have made great contributions to the application of psychoanalysis in mental health within the NHS.

This conference will look at the history of these institutions, present current clinical work from the Tavistock and the Cassel, and will try to address the question, what can psychoanalysis offer for mental health services in the future. There will also be the opportunity to present clinical cases in smaller groups on Friday evening.

Speakers will include: David Bell, Anuradha Menon, John Glyn, Jo Stubley, Kim Barlow, Jo O’Reilly and Robert Harland.
