Description

44th International Psychoanalytic Child Psychotherapy Colloquium
Developmental Trauma: The Internal World in Context

Friday 4th – Saturday 5th November 2022
13:00 – 19:00 (UK – GMT)

Join us for the 44th International Psychoanalytic Child Psychotherapy Colloquium as we take a deep dive into the theme of developmental and relational trauma. This year also marks a special anniversary, as we celebrate 70 years of the Anna Freud Centre.

We are delighted to announce that presenters this year include Dr Graham Music, Dr Dickon Bevington, Dr David Trickey, Dr Holly Dwyer Hall and Lily Hornsby-Clark. Our full programme will be released shortly.

Over two days, we will learn and think together about the complexities of this subject with a focus on implications for clinical practice. Delegates will hear from highly experienced clinicians and researchers in a range of presentations, encompassing psychoanalytic clinical work, theoretical ideas and innovative research. Q&A sessions with presenters and opportunities to reflect in small groups make this a fully interactive online event and collaborative learning experience.

This online conference is chaired by Annabel Kitson and organised by the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families’ longstanding Child Psychotherapy Service.

The Colloquium centres around clinical discussions and has been offering a unique opportunity to network with UK and international mental health professionals for over 40 years. We bring together professionals from all over the world to think about well-established psychoanalytic practice, as well as ground-breaking adaptations to such approaches to working with children and adolescents.
