Hidden Histories of British Psychoanalysis: From Freud’s Death Bed to Laing’s Missing Tooth, Brett Kahr

Scholar Brett Kahr's newest book is based upon four decades of archival research and oral history interviews with many of the founders of British psychoanalysis. He provides us with insight about such iconic figures as Donald Winnicott, John Bowlby, Ursula Bowlby, Marion Milner, Enid Balint, Masud Khan, and Ronald Laing, as well as two chapters about Sigmund Freud’s final year of life as a “British” psychoanalyst. New Associations is looking for contributors for its reviews section. Reviews are 1000 words and could be of a TV show, film, art exhibition, album, gig or play - anything that might be of interest to our psychoanalytic community.

If you have something in mind you would like to review, or if you would like to find out more, please email the editor for the attention of Emmanuelle Smith, reviews editor. We are always happy to hear from first time writers as well as more experienced reviewers.
