Course Overview
The Modified Adult Psychoanalytic Training is a minimum of two years and is designed specifically with Child Psychotherapists in mind. It leads to qualification as a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist who can register with the British Psychoanalytic Council. The course consists of theory and clinical seminars, with lectures and a qualifying paper. The taught element of the programme is provided by a blended approach, primarily online seminars and the occasional face-to-face talks. There are three symposiums a year which take place on a Friday and Saturday. Clinical experience is via two intensive training patients. West Midlands Institute of Psychotherapy acts as the course’s Member Institute, and trainees are provided with student membership.
