Psychodynamic Psychotherapy with Couples (Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust)

Psychodynamic psychotherapy with couples (D59C) will allow you to practice as a psychodynamic psychotherapist with couples, accredited by the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). It will provide you with the skills necessary for working therapeutically with couples in the NHS and as an independent practitioner.

You will explore how partners choose each other, affect and relate to each other, as well as how couple relationships affect parenting and vice versa.

The Couples Unit at the Tavistock is an established centre of excellence in couple work. The referrals it receives as an NHS clinic provide a wide range of clinical issues to learn from. You will be taught by clinician-tutors who have decades of experience with this diverse population.
