About Deborah Abrahams
I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, DIT therapist and chartered clinical psychologist with 25 years of relevant work experience, including over 15 years of NHS work.
I am experienced in working with people of diverse backgrounds and beliefs. I have a particular interest in helping people with key transition points in life, whether this is coping with new parenthood, empty nests, marriage, divorce, career changes, loss and trauma. I am also interested in offering intensive analytic work where this is the most effective way forward.
I am a senior member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation, where I qualified as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in 2015. In addition, I hold a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology. I am registered with the British Psychological Society, Health & Care Professions Council, British Psychotherapy Foundation as well as the British Psychoanalytic Council and I am governed by the standards of conduct, performance and ethics of all these bodies. I also hold an updated DBS Enhanced Certificate for working with Adults and Children, re-issued in February 2020.
