Senior Group Analyst / Analytic Psychotherapist

We wish to appoint a Senior Group Analyst / Group Analytic Psychotherapist with UKCP or BPC registration and experience of running groups in NHS settings to join our friendly, skilled and dedicated team of psychological therapists working within a Community Adult Mental Health Team setting.

You will provide psychological assessments and some individual interventions, as well as providing supervision and support to other psychological therapists and consultation and guidance to our colleagues in the CMHT. You will have excellent communication skills and will participate in multidisciplinary risk assessment, formulation and care planning.

As psychological therapists we meet weekly and have monthly reflective practice. Supervision is provided by senior therapists to help consolidate therapy skills in a focused and supported way. It is expected that the post holder will contribute to the wider staff team via training, supervision, reflective practice, consultation and psychological formulation. The service offers training placements for junior doctors, trainee psychotherapists and clinical/counselling psychologists and the postholder may have opportunities to participate in these trainings.

The post is based at the Whiteleaf Centre in Aylesbury. You need to be able to travel to other locations across the Trust from time to time. In the current COVID-19 situation, many team members are also providing therapy remotely.
