Wessex Counselling & Psychotherapy are seeking to recruit a Course Leader for our BPC and BACP-accredited Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling.

Salary:  £5428 including holiday pay. The post is for 8 hours per week.
Role description
This is an exciting opportunity to join the training team at Wessex Counselling & Psychotherapy.
The role is important for training the next generation of psychodynamic professionals and thereby ensuring the continuation of sound psychodynamic practice. It will be of interest to qualified practitioners with administrative or management experience, or practitioners who wish to develop a career in the management of counselling training programmes.

The applicant must be a qualified and experienced counsellor/psychotherapist with an analytical approach. He/she must be registered with BPC as a psychodynamic counsellor or psychotherapist, a BACP accredited member (MBACP Accred.) or UKCP (CPJA) member.

The Course Leader works within the training team with full office support. He/she will have responsibility for the management of the Diploma, recruitment of staff, students and trainees, pastoral care of students and trainees and the development of an engaging and substantial syllabus.
Accountable to, and working closely with, the Head of Training, the Course Leader is responsible for maintaining the high academic and clinical standards of our psychodynamic counselling training and the continuing accreditation of the course by BACP and BPC.

It is important that applicants have a positive attitude towards the challenges and opportunities presented by remote delivery of therapy and training.

The post is for 8 hours per week. Salary is £5428 including holiday pay. Working hours and location are flexible, although it is essential for the Course Leader to be available on Mondays (the main course day) and to be able attend occasional meetings in Frome.
