Book Review Editor, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy
Invitation for Expressions of Interest in role of Book Reviews Editor, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
Do you enjoy seeing new books in the field of psychoanalysis and psychotherapy, keeping abreast of publications and new developments? Are you a keen writer or someone who is looking to develop your writing and editorial skills? If the answer to these two questions is yes, please do consider applying for the role of Book Reviews Editor. Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy is the journal of the Association for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector, and is an up-and-coming journal with a growing readership.
We are inviting expressions of interest because the current editor, Arabella Kurtz, is standing down after four years due to the demands of a new job. You would join a small editorial team, commissioning book reviews and review essays and editing them once submitted. You would receive a stipend of £500 a year, and work with the Editor, Jessica Yakeley, and the Assistant Editor, Paul Cundy, to develop the focus and remit of the journal, attending regular Board Meetings to discuss progress with a committed and engaged Editorial Board.
Start date: a.s.a.p.
For an informal discussion of the role please email Arabella.
To apply please email your expression of interest to Paul Cundy.
Unfortunately we will only be able to respond to applicants who are invited to interview.
