Poul Rohleder

Dr Poul Rohleder has 20 years experience of working in private and public mental health practice. He has a consulting room at The Queen Anne Street Practice in Marylebone, central London, where he provides individual psychoanalytic psychotherapy. He is also an experienced DIT practitioner and supervisor and has taught and supervised trainees on the DIT training at the Anna Freud Centre. He has particular interest and expertise in working with issues of sexuality, masculinity, marginalised identities and shame.

Alongside his clinical work, he is an established academic and researcher. He is an honorary senior lecturer at the Department of Psychosocial and Psychoanalytic Studies at the University of Essex, and also teaches on the Clinical Doctorate in Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the University of Exeter. He is author of The Oedipus Complex: A Contemporary Introduction (published by Routledge in 2025), and co-author of the book A Clinical Guide to Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (Published by Routledge, 2021).
