About Holly Dwyer Hall
Holly Dwyer Hall is a qualified Children, Adolescent and Adult Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and is accredited in Dynamic Interpersonal Therapist (adults) and Mentalization Based Treatment (MBT) Treatments with Adults, Families, Adolescents and Children. She is the current Lead for Psychodynamic Psychotherapies and MBT Treatments with children and Families at Anna Freud. She has over 26 years’ experience in assessing and working with children, young people, families and adults with mild through to complex mental health needs. Holly has worked in both child and adult services in the NHS, including setting up an emotional wellbeing service for children under 5 and working in a specialist service for adults with a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder. Holly has experience in assessing and treating very young children and adolescents who have experienced early complex trauma. She regularly provides teaching, training, consultation and supervision across clinical and academic settings in the UK and Internationally. She currently lectures on the Doctorate in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy with UCL, Anna Freud Centre and the Independent Psychoanalytic Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Association (IPCAPA) and on the Early Child Development and Clinical Applications MSc at UCL. She is a practised Infant Observation seminar leader and has a passion for the role of infant observation in psychotherapy training. Holly has published papers and chapters on mentalizartion based treatments, rupture and resolution processes in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and the practice of infant observation. Holly has a small private practice in North West London and Hertfordshire.
