Exciting opportunity for a one year honorary contract in the Couples Unit, Adult & Forensic Services, Tavistock Clinic, Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust

Are you a psychoanalytic psychotherapist with children, adolescents or adults?

Are you interested in a stimulating and challenging opportunity, which can open up new professional horizons and add new light to your work with adult individuals or children?

We are looking for psychoanalytic psychotherapists who want to learn more about unconscious couple dynamics, who are interested in how couple relationships affect parenting and who might want to gain experience of working within the NHS and/or broaden their private practice.

The Couples Unit is led by Consultant Couple Psychotherapist, Joanna Rosenthall. You will see one couple for a year. You will be given regular small group supervision and access to other events in the Department such as scientific meetings.

Employer: South Bucks Counselling  Job: Clinical Director  Salary: £40,150 - £54,750 per annum (full time equivalent) Contract: 12 hours per week, depending upon experience

South Bucks Counselling is an established charity offering affordable Psychodynamic Counselling to adults. We are based in central High Wycombe and are supported by a dedicated group of volunteer qualified and trainee Counsellors.

We are seeking a highly qualified and influential counselling professional for the role of Clinical Director.

He/she will be responsible for:

  • the clinical excellence of the Agency
  • promoting SBC within the local community and on-line to raise awareness of SBC and to increase its client base, through establishing productive relationships with the NHS, other counselling operations, local government and businesses
  • managing two part-time staff and overseeing day-to-day operations
  • recruiting new Counsellors
  • working with Trustees to develop strategic plans which promote and develop the agency

We are looking for a self-motivated, experienced counselling professional possessing a strong business network. The ability to demonstrate leadership and influencing skills is essential.

Applicants must be registered with an appropriate Psychodynamic Counselling body and have a minimum of 5 years clinical experience as a qualified Counsellor.

This role also requires experience of clinical client assessment and of clinical supervision.

GROUP PSYCHOTHERAPIST POST – Band 8A

Employer: Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Department: Chertsey Psychotherapy Service Location: Abraham Cowley Unit, Chertsey, KT16 0AE Sessions: 0.5 (15 Hrs)/ 0.6 (22.5Hrs)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Group Psychotherapist to join our multi-disciplinary team at the Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

The post is suitable for a qualified Group Psychotherapist, registered with UKCP or BCP and involves provision of supervision, consultation and support with running of groups by other colleagues, including honoraries and trainees as needed.

The post holder will also support the Mentalisation Based Therapy (MBT) Service in the Chertsey Psychotherapy Department by facilitating and managing the patient group; be linked in with the personality disorder pathway and strategy of the Trust locally; provide teaching and training as needed and to be involved in Reflective Practice as required.

This is an excellent opportunity for a group analyst to develop their skills both in offering secondary care group analytic psychotherapy, supervision and consultation and in developing a special interest in MBT.
