Andrew Williams

I was a Consultant Psychiatrist in Medical and Forensic Psychotherapy at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust between 2010 and 2022, during which time I held the positions of Head of the Tavistock Clinic's Adult Psychotherapy Department and Clinical Co-ordinator at the Portman Clinic. I set up and was Course Lead for the Portman Clinic's clinical training in Forensic Psychotherapy and remain involved with the clinic as a Visiting Lecturer.

I am dually qualified as a psychoanalyst and a psychodynamic couple therapist, working with individuals and couples in person at the Queen Anne Street Practice and online.

I am co-author of 'Assessing Risk: A Relational Approach' (Routledge) and Forensic Group Psychotherapy: The Portman Clinic Approach (Karnac).
