Amanda Strang

I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist, providing face to face sessions from my rooms at Purley CR8 and Bethnal Green.

I work with people facing a broad range of emotional difficulties in their working and personal lives and who want to better understand themselves and others.

My intention is to listen carefully to what is troubling you. We would work collaboratively to understand and work through unresolved uncomfortable thoughts, feelings and behaviours, as the basis for change and the development of the capacity for solitude, appetite for life and the cultivation of resilience to face life's challenges.

I undertook a 4 year postgraduate clinical training at WPF Therapy. I have provided psychotherapy in NHS units, including working with women survivors of childhood sexual abuse, and counselling for a bereavement charity.

I offer once-weekly sessions . We would work collaboratively to understand you at depth. Sessions are available for as long as they are useful, and the ending is kept under review on an ongoing basis.

The initial consultation is an opportunity for us to meet, and for you to find out how I work and ask me any questions. We will think together about whether therapy could be of benefit to you and if we could work together.
