About Philip Faulkner
I am a Consultant Psychodynamic Organisational Therapist and a registered social worker.
Both reflect experience and training gained at Thornby Hall Therapeutic Community in Northamptonshire (1991-2012), where I was Community Director, Registered Manager and Clinical Lead for several years. Whilst at Thornby I gained a post graduate diploma in psychodynamic residential care and a level 7 qualification in leadership and management.
Since 2012 I have held senior leadership roles in specialist provisions for children and adults with complex support needs and diagnoses of autism and learning disabilities.
I now do a range of work as a therapist directly with children and families and as a consultant providing support for professionals working in pressured environments with complex caseloads where risk management, practitioner wellbeing and resilience are paramount.
I also provide psychodynamically-informed:

As a member of the APPCIOS Management Committee I lead on the development and accreditation of psychodynamic organisational trainings.
My professional interests include:
Organisational dynamics, group facilitation, intersectionality, social justice and enablement - particularly related to mental health/trauma, disability and neurodiversity - therapeutic communities and social pedagogy.
