David Catterall

I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist working full-time in private practice in Newcastle upon Tyne. I offer in-person therapy between once and three times a week.

I have a background in the NHS, working as a medical doctor and as a psychiatrist (though I am no longer practising medically). I spent six years working in the Regional Department of Psychotherapy in Newcastle before moving into private practice.

I trained with the North of England Association of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists and am currently a member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation.
I am also a groupwork practitioner with the Institute of Group Analysis.
