About Richard Kelly
I am a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist working with adults in private practice, having previously worked in NHS mental health services for over ten years. I previously worked at the Adult Complex Needs department of the Tavistock and Portman Clinic – a specialist psychoanalytic service in London. Before this I worked in other areas and NHS services, including inpatient units, child and adolescent (CAMHS) specialist community services, adult psychological therapy teams and crisis resolution community services. I have been involved in research and auditing on the effectiveness and outcomes of psychological therapies in collaboration with the Child Outcomes Research Consortium (CORC) and the Anna Freud Centre.
I trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Tavistock and Portman Clinic. I am registered and accredited with the British Psychoanalytic Council and am a member of the Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists. I am a graduate member of the British Psychological Society and an Associate Member of the Institute of Group Analysis. I have previously completed trainings with the Institute of Psychoanalysis and Institute of Group Analysis.
