About Henrique Correia

Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist
DDPAS Candidate, University of Exeter | BPC & BPF Registered

With over 25 years of clinical experience within the NHS (CAMHS) and private practice, I provide high-level psychoanalytic psychotherapy for individuals and adolescents. My practice is currently informed by my doctoral research at the University of Exeter, focusing on the complexities of the human psyche and the unconscious processes that shape our lives.

I offer a sophisticated, confidential space for those seeking to move beyond symptom management toward a deeper, more permanent understanding of their inner world.

Clinical Expertise
My work is grounded in psychoanalytic and relational principles, addressing a wide spectrum of psychological difficulties. I specialise in working with:

Complex Trauma & Enduring Emotional Challenges

Personality Dynamics & Deep-rooted Anxiety

Relationship & Psychosexual Difficulties

Adolescent Mental Health

Identity, Gender, and Mood Regulation

Therapeutic Philosophy
I believe that sustainable change occurs when we explore the complex web of internal and external factors—including unconscious conflicts and early relational dilemmas—that inform our current reality. My role is to facilitate a safe, respectful environment where these layers can be deconstructed. Together, we work to find meaning and purpose, opening a way forward that might not otherwise feel possible.

While my primary modality is Talking Psychotherapy, my extensive background allows for a flexible clinical approach. When spoken language reaches its limit, I am equipped to integrate non-verbal insights to help safely navigate and express challenging emotions and deep-seated traumas.

Consultation & Fees
I see clients In-person, as well as via Online and Phone therapy, ensuring a flexible yet consistent therapeutic frame.
