Jake Fletcher
Psychodynamic Psychotherapist
About Jake Fletcher
I offer reliable 50-minute, weekly sessions.
It is your space to say what is on your mind or to see what comes up. You may be trying to find yourself or have issues with relationships, family, the workplace, and culture. I offer a non-directive, open-minded enquiry in search of meaning and self-knowledge.
I practise a contemporary form of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. The cornerstones of which are that the mind can serve as a reparative guide (of its own) through the process of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. The second is that the psychotherapeutic relationship is profoundly powerful, offering sanctuary for people to self-develop and make changes in life.
I teach at the Society of Analytical Psychology (SAP) and lecture at the University of Roehampton in Psychoanalytic theory and practice. I tutor trainees and participate on qualification hearing panels. I was recently interviewed by the Financial Times about my work. I have practised in NHS Psychoanalytic departments in hospitals. I supported schizophrenic residents at Arbours therapeutic community. I trained at the SAP, where the clinical standards I have met are among the highest of the leading training institutions in the country.
I work in two locations: Sydenham, where I charge £75.00 per session, and at the SAP in Swiss Cottage, £95.00. My Initial Consultation takes place over two sessions.
