Apratim Barua

I am a registered and accredited psychotherapist with over 10 years' experience of working in the NHS. My approach is psychodynamic: this entails longer term work that seeks to get to the root of the problem rather than focus on surface symptoms. I welcome enquiries from young adults struggling with life pressures and the stress of GCSEs, A levels and University.
My work in the NHS involves working with acutely unwell people. In addition, I have extensive experience of working with people who have been referred for counselling by GPs. Prior to training as a psychotherapist, I was a qualified teacher and drawing on my extensive experience of working in the NHS and my passion and devotion to teaching, I feel particularly well-placed to work with the issues and pressures that confront young adults today.
