About Suzy Polin

I have worked extensively and continue to do so providing Psychotherapy to adults in private practice, within primary care and with adolescents at school and in a specialist centre.

I offer a confidential, safe space where we can think about what is troubling you in a non-judgemental setting.

The aim of my work is to help you understand and make sense of difficult feelings and events and as a consequence live life feeling freer and therefore more fully.

People typically come for Psychotherapy when they are feeling depressed, anxious, depressed. In addition they may be coming to terms with loss; bereavement, divorce or redundancy. They may be lacking in confidence, have an inability to sustain relationships and may be struggling with intimacy.

I can offer appointments weekly or twice weekly, for a set period of time or open ended.

My previous experience includes manager/practitioner within the Trauma Service, Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation and British Red Cross. I provided Trauma informed therapy to Refugees and Asylum Seekers. As part of the NHS Well being Hub I also provided Psychological support to Staff at UCLH during Covid.

As a result of this experience I specialise in helping people understand and manage traumatic experiences and feel relief from the symptoms caused as a result of these experiences.

Choosing the right therapist involves finding someone you can trust and work with. The first consultation will be for you to get a flavour of how I work and for us to think about whether Psychodynamic Psychotherapy is right for you. Please contact me by email or phone and we can agree a suitable time to meet.

I presently work face to face or online using Zoom or via the telephone. We can discuss which might be best for you.
