At this online event, Ronald Britton will discuss the new edition of his book, “Sex, Death and the Superego: Updating Psychoanalytic Experience and Developments in Neuroscience” (Routledge, 2020) with Professor David Tuckett, training and supervising analyst of the British Society.
Britton has revised this highly regarded psychoanalytic work, bringing new insights from his clinical experience and study of current neuroscience, and continuing his reflections on the relationship of brain and mind, selfhood and self-awareness, belief and knowledge, and certainty and uncertainty.
Following the conversation, the discussion will be extended with contributions from psychoanalysts Igor Kadyrov (Moscow), Helen Schoenhals-Hart (San Francisco) and Ignês Sodré (London).
The event will be chaired by psychoanalyst Susan Lawrence.
All registrants will receive a 20% discount code for the book and access to a video recording of the event.
