Description

Join us for an insightful event featuring Clare Gerada and Rachel Gibbons in conversation as they delve into the complex landscape of the NHS through the lens of psychoanalytical and group analytic perspectives.

This engaging event will be centred around the vital topic of public health (The NHS) – focusing on benefits and challenges and impact working in it. This event aims to bring out a group analytic perspective on the challenges, raise awareness, and stimulate discussion.

This engaging session will explore the tensions between despair and hope, idealisation and impossibilities, and dependency and adaptation within the healthcare system.

Following the initial talks, participants will have the opportunity to engage in facilitated small group discussions, allowing for deeper exploration of these themes in a collaborative setting. The event will culminate in a dynamic plenary session, where insights from the groups will be shared, fostering a collective dialogue about the future of the NHS. Come ready to reflect, discuss, and work through these crucial dichotomies as we envision a path forward for healthcare.
