Early Years Conference: The many faces of parenting infants
Book ticketsOrganised by:
Anna Freud
Description
Often there will be a range of different people involved in raising a child from conception to age five. But some may not be on the radar of key professionals, and others may not be aware of services available that could support them. This online conference will highlight some of those involved who may slip through the net. It will also look at the impact that different family formations, backgrounds and identities have on parenting, caregiver-infant relationships and child development outcomes.
Keynote speeches will focus on LGBTQ+ families and families across different cultural backgrounds. It will include the chance to attend separate seminars focusing on fathers, parents with experience of fostering and adopting, or grandparents and wider family involvement.
The conference will look at both research and the lived experience of families, and look at how to apply this knowledge to practice when you’re working with different families. It promises to be an event that is both thought-provoking and enriching for professional development.
