Book ticketsOrganised by:
Tavistock Relationships
Description
With Andrew Balfour, Liz Hamlin, Judith Jamieson & Sonia Dalal.
10 CPD Credits.
This online weekend course is open to couple psychotherapists looking to deepen their work and develop their skills and understanding of the couples they are working with. If you are looking for a deep dive into the work to refresh and enhance your day to day clinical work then this course would serve you well.
Over two days there will be four theory sessions and four clinical discussion groups as well as an integration session at the end of each day. Participants will think about unconscious processes with couples, back to the basics of unconscious couple fit and shared unconscious phantasy in the first session with Andrew Balfour. They will learn how to work with psychosexual cases from a biopsychosocial perspective and consider the psychological processes involved in the end of intimate couple relationships, such as divorce or separation. Clinicians will become more confident and effective in clinical work across race, difference, and culture. Overall participants will deepen their understanding of psychodynamic concepts in formulating and understanding relationship aspects in their work with couples or individuals.
The course is limited in numbers to make room for depth discussion. There will be four clinical discussion groups with a maximum of eight students per group. There will be an opportunity for some participants to present their work and learn from the facilitator and others in the discussion groups.
Seminars and clinical discussion groups will be led by TR Senior Clinical Staff members.
