BACP Annual Research Conference: promoting collaboration in research, policy and practice
Book ticketsOrganised by:
BACP
Description
BACP’s Annual Research conference should be of interest to psychotherapists of all modalities as it includes a wealth of research content crossing a range of methodologies, theoretical orientations and practice settings.
Our two keynote presentations will cover findings from key randomised controlled trials that BACP has funded or supported – the PRaCTICED trial and the ETHOS trial. Our keynote speakers, Professor Michael Barkham and Professor Mick Cooper, will also discuss the implications of their research for person-centred counselling.
In addition, there are close to 70 presentations including three live streams on the day, plus two workshops. The livestreamed content will also be available on demand after the event alongside additional presentations and posters. On top of all that, we have a pre-conference workshop and research forums available the evening before. The cost of the conference is £25 for BACP members and non-members alike.
Booking details are also available here.
Booking form for the research forums is available here. The forums we will be running will cover:
- Postgraduate research
- Spirituality
- Improving/increasing access to counselling and psychotherapy services
- Supervision
- Children, young people and families
- Higher and Further Education.
All forums are available free of charge and irrespective of whether people join the full conference.
