PP NOW 2018 will explore and celebrate the recent evidence base for psychoanalytic work and showcase innovatory and cutting edge projects and services together with the various research methods used to validate their work that renew the discipline for the 21st Century.
Johnathan Shedler, Phd
Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, USA, psychologist, and known internationally as an author, consultant, clinician and teacher.
His article The Efficacy of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy won worldwide acclaim for firmly establishing psychodynamic therapy as an evidence-based treatment.
Psychoanalyst and author of The Examined Life. He teaches at the Institute of Psychoanalysis.
Dr Eilis Kennedy
Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and Director of Research at the Tavistock Clinic, London. Honorary Reader in the Research Department of Clinical, Educational and Health Psychology, University College London. Joint Editor in Chief of Clinical Child Psychology and Psychiatry.
Dr Sue Mizen
Consultant Medical Psychotherapist and SAP Jungian Analyst, currently leads the Devon Personality Disorder Service and is developing a neuroscientific psychotherapeutic Relational Affective Model, for teams working with people with severe Personality Disorder. She is the Chair of the Medical Psychotherapy Faculty at the RCPsych and the Talking Therapies Task Force.
Dr Felicitas Rost
Research Lead at the Portman Clinic and Senior Researcher on the TADS study, Tavistock Clinic. President of the Society for Psychotherapy Research (SPR) UK.
She teaches research methods and supervises dissertations of DProf Child Psychotherapy trainees at the Tavistock and MSc in the theory of psychoanalysis and DClin Psy students at UCL.
Dr. David Hewison
Head of Research and Ethics, Tavistock Relationships - programme leader of the Professional Doctorate in Couple Psychotherapy. A Jungian analyst and consultant couple psychoanalytic psychotherapist.
