Welcome to the British Psychoanalytic Council

The British Psychoanalytic Council is a professional association and voluntary regulator of the psychoanalytic psychotherapy profession, publishing a Register of practitioners who are required to follow our ethical code and meet our fitness to practise standards.

We promote excellence in psychoanalytic thinking and psychotherapy; safeguard the public; promote the highest standards of training and research; and work to make psychoanalytic psychotherapy accessible to all.

Bridges Over Troubled Waters

11 October, Exeter

A joint event with the Association for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the NHS

Bridges Over Troubled Waters will be
investigating how we might begin to
highlight the challenges and changes
needed in training and research to
bring our thinking to a wider public health
and mainstream audience in order to
improve further access to services,
and develop an understanding of the
psychoanalytic profession.
